Job summary

Serco is seeking a Maintenance Operative in Burnley to deliver general maintenance across a defined property portfolio. You will respond to faults, coordinate with the Field Operations Manager, and ensure properties meet contract standards while managing supplies and waste.

The role requires a valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the region and occasionally the UK. It is a full-time position with 37.5 hours per week and a salary of £27,500 plus Serco benefits.

Qualifications

• General DIY experience.
• A willingness and ability to travel within the region and occasionally within the UK (a valid UK driver’s licence is essential).

Responsibilities

• Provide general maintenance services to a designated area / or number of properties.
• Report faults using the AORA IT system to ensure all faults are reported and closed for their property portfolio.
• Ensure all properties are compliant and fit for purpose when completing tasks.
• Repair Serco supplied furniture where possible or ensure furniture is replaced to comply with the Home Office Contract.
• Purchase materials/PPE from approved Serco suppliers and keep receipts for all transactions.
