Job summary
Morrisons in Winsford is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to ensure smooth operation of our manufacturing site. You will maintain, repair and improve machinery to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency in a hands‑on role.
Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, you will inspect, diagnose, repair and optimise production equipment, while collaborating with production teams to drive improvements and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification.
- Strong mechanical and electrical systems knowledge in FMCG environments.
- Proficient troubleshooting and repair of industrial machinery.
- Proactive maintenance approach to maximise reliability.
- Understanding of HACCP is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on production equipment.
- Respond to machinery breakdowns and diagnose/repair issues.
- Carry out machine adjustments and changeovers to support production lines.
- Monitor and calibrate equipment for quality and safety.
- Collaborate with production teams for process improvements.
- Keep accurate maintenance records and spares inventory.
