Job summary

Myton Food Group is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to maintain, repair and improve machinery on site. You will work under the Site Engineering Manager, performing routine inspections, breakdown repair, and changeovers to keep production efficient and within safety standards.

You'll apply strong mechanical and electrical knowledge to diagnose issues, carry out repairs, calibrate equipment, and contribute to continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical/electrical engineering.
• Experience with FMCG machinery and production equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Proactive maintenance mindset with focus on equipment reliability.
• Good communication and on‑the‑spot decision making.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Respond to machinery breakdowns and coordinate repairs with internal teams or external specialists.
• Carry out machine adjustments and changeovers to support production line efficiency.
• Monitor calibration to ensure accuracy, quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify process improvements and equipment reliability opportunities.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and spare parts inventory.
