Job summary

Myton Food Group, part of Morrisons, is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer for our UK manufacturing site. You will maintain, repair and improve machinery to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency in a hands-on role.

You will work with production teams, conduct preventive maintenance, and document activities while ensuring health and safety compliance and adapting to new technologies within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in mechanical/electrical engineering or ONC/BTEC level 3.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems used in FMCG environments.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery (conveyors, motors, pumps, packaging).
• Good understanding of HACCP principles and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Respond to machinery breakdowns, diagnose issues and perform repairs or coordinate with specialists.
• Carry out machine adjustments and changeovers to minimise downtime.
• Monitor and calibrate equipment to meet quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify process improvements.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and parts inventory.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and company policies.
• Stay updated with industry advancements and new technologies relevant to the role.
