Job summary

Morrisons is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing site. You will maintain, repair and improve machinery to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.

You will report to the Site Engineering Manager and perform preventive maintenance, respond quickly to breakdowns, and collaborate with production teams to drive continuous improvement. An eye for safety and quality is essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 or equivalent is required.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical systems in FMCG or manufacturing.
• Proven troubleshooting and maintenance abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Respond to machinery breakdowns and perform repairs or coordinate with specialists.
• Carry out machine adjustments and changeovers to support efficiency and minimise downtime.
• Monitor and calibrate equipment to ensure quality, safety and accuracy.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify process improvements and boost productivity.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and spare parts inventory.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and company policies.
