Job summary

Morrisons is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to ensure smooth operation of our manufacturing site. You will maintain, repair and improve machinery to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency, reporting to the Site Engineering Manager.

The role requires hands-on technical skills, strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance in a fast-paced FMCG environment. The ideal candidate has NVQ 3 / ONC / BTEC qualifications and solid knowledge of mechanical and

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• ONC mechanical/electrical engineering qualification
• BTEC Level 3 in mechanical & electrical/electronic engineering
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems used in FMCG industry

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on production equipment
• Respond to machinery breakdowns; diagnose, repair or coordinate with specialists
• Carry out machine adjustments and changeovers to improve efficiency
• Monitor and calibrate equipment to meet quality and safety standards
• Collaborate with production teams to identify process improvements
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and spare parts
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and company policies
• Stay updated with industry advancements and new technologies
