Job summary

INDBLUE is seeking a skilled Multi-Trade Operative to join our repairs and maintenance team in Brent. You will perform responsive and planned maintenance across social housing properties, applying carpentry, plastering, tiling, plumbing and painting skills with minimal supervision.

You will work in residents' homes, maintain safety, complete documentation, and deliver high standards of workmanship. A full UK driving licence is required, and Monday–Friday, 8–5 hours apply.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Multi-Trade Operative or similar role.
• Strong practical skills across several building trades.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Experience in social housing, local authority, housing association or property maintenance is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily workload.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive repairs and planned maintenance in social housing properties.
• Undertake multi-trade works, including carpentry, plastering, tiling, basic plumbing, and decorating.
• Finish work to a high standard with minimal supervision.
• Work in residents' homes professionally and respectfully.

Join our established repairs and maintenance team as a skilled Multi-Trade Operative in Brent.

Location: Brent
Salary: £22 per hour plus van and fuel
Hours: Monday – Friday 8-5

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Multi-Trade Operative to join our repairs and maintenance team, carrying out a range of maintenance and refurbishment works across social housing properties.

The successful candidate will be multi-skilled, customer-focused and capable of completing a variety of repairs to a high standard, with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out responsive repairs and planned maintenance in occupied and vacant social housing properties
• Undertake a range of multi-trade works, including:
• Carpentry and joinery
• Plastering and patch repairs
• Tiling
• Basic plumbing repairs
• Basic painting and decorating
• Flooring and making-good works
• General property maintenance
• Diagnose defects and identify appropriate repair solutions
• Complete void property refurbishment and associated works where required
• Work professionally and respectfully in residents' homes
• Maintain a clean, safe and tidy working environment
• Complete work orders, job sheets and other relevant documentation accurately
• Report any additional defects or issues identified during works
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety requirements and company standards

Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a Multi-Trade Operative, Maintenance Operative or similar role
• Strong practical skills across several building trades
• Experience within social housing, local authority, housing association or property maintenance is desirable
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily workload
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Professional, reliable and punctual approach
• Relevant trade qualifications are desirable
• Full UK driving licence is required
