Job summary

Service Care is recruiting a skilled Multi-Trade Operative to join our social housing maintenance team covering Leatherhead and surrounding areas. You will carry out responsive repairs and general property maintenance across occupied and void properties.

The role requires practical experience across carpentry, plumbing and decorating, with the ability to work independently and to a high standard while following health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience as Multi-Trade Operative in domestic properties.
• Strong practical experience across carpentry, plumbing and decorating.
• Desirable experience in social housing repairs and maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and deliver repairs to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day responsive repairs and general property maintenance.
• Complete multi-trade repairs within occupied and void social housing properties.
• Undertake carpentry, plumbing, patch plastering, painting and decorating works.
• Repair and replace fixtures, fittings and damaged building components.
• Diagnose maintenance issues and carry out appropriate repairs.
• Complete making-good works following maintenance and repair tasks.
• Communicate professionally with tenants, supervisors and colleagues.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Multi-Trade Operative Location: Leatherhead, Surrey (KT22 and surrounding areas) Pay Rate: £21.98 per hour 40 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Trade Operative to join an established social housing maintenance team covering Leatherhead and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out responsive repairs and general property maintenance across occupied and void social housing properties.

This position requires a skilled individual with experience across multiple trades who can work independently and deliver repairs to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day responsive repairs and general property maintenance.


• Complete multi-trade repairs within occupied and void social housing properties.


• Undertake carpentry, plumbing, patch plastering, painting and decorating works.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Multi-Trade Operative within domestic properties.


• Strong practical experience across multiple trades, particularly carpentry, plumbing and decorating.


• Previous experience working within social housing repairs and maintenance desirable.


• Competent in carrying out responsive repairs independently.


• Ability to manage daily workloads and complete jobs efficiently.


• Full UK driving licence preferred.


• Good communication and customer service skills.


• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
