Job summary

MMP Consultancy is seeking a skilled Multi Trade Operative to carry out reactive repairs and maintenance within occupied social housing properties across London boroughs.

The role covers carpentry, plumbing, tiling, painting and decorating, and basic plastering; you’ll work independently with a company van, smartphone app for job reporting, and a permanent salary of £38,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Experience as Multi Trade Operative in social housing or property maintenance.
• Competence across multiple trades with a strong core trade background.
• Own tools and ability to use a smartphone app for job management.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a range of repairs across multiple trades (carpentry, plumbing, tiling, painting, plastering).
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently on first visit where possible.
• Install, repair and maintain fixtures and fittings in residential properties.
• Ensure work meets high standards and follows company procedures.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and regulations.
• Provide professional, customer-focused service to tenants and residents.
• Accurately complete job reports and update works via a smartphone app.

Multi Trade Operative

Location: North of Thames - Havering, Barking & Dagenham, Newham, Hackney, Enfield & Waltham Forest Salary: 38,000 per annum Contract: Permanent Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

We are seeking an experienced Multi Trade Operative to carry out reactive repairs and maintenance within occupied social housing properties.

Role includes:

• Carrying out a range of repairs across multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, tiling, painting and decorating, and basic plastering
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently on first visit where possible
• Installing, repairing, and maintaining fixtures and fittings within residential properties
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with company procedures
• Adhering to all health and safety guidelines and regulations
• Providing a professional, customer-focused service to tenants and residents
• Accurately completing job reports and updating works via a smartphone app

Requirements:

• Competence across a variety of trades, with a strong core trade background

• Full UK driving licence
• A drug and alcohol test will be carried out on the day of induction
