Job summary

Winner Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Multi-Trade Operative in Dartford to work across occupied and void properties, delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance for residents.

You will perform multi-trade repairs, diagnose faults, work safely with risk assessments, and coordinate with residents while using handheld devices and managing stock across varied contracts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience carrying out multi-trade repairs within domestic or social housing environments.
• Experience working on responsive repairs, voids or occupied properties.
• Strong practical skills across multiple trades.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out multi-trade repairs including carpentry, plumbing, patch plastering, tiling, decorating and basic flooring.
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs right first time wherever possible.
• Undertaking responsive repairs, void works and remedial maintenance.
• Working safely in line with risk assessments, method statements and company procedures.
• Recording job details, materials and completion notes using handheld devices/job management systems.
• Liaising professionally with residents and reporting any access issues, safeguarding concerns or additional works.
• Maintaining tools, equipment and van stock.
• Identifying and escalating complex or specialist repairs where required.
• Working alongside other trades to support the successful delivery of contracts.

Multi-Trade Operative

Salary: Up to£40,660 DOE + Company Van & Fuel Card

Job Type: Permanent

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading property maintenance and social housing provider for an experienced Multi-Trade Operative to join an operational team overseeing some of the organisation's contract within dartford

The team is responsible for supporting high-priority contracts, peak demand, new contract mobilisations and complex operational challenges. This is a varied role where you will work across different properties and contracts, adapting to different environments while delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance for residents.

The Role

You will carry out a range of multi-trade repairs and maintenance works across occupied and void properties, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out multi-trade repairs including carpentry, plumbing, patch plastering, tiling, decorating and basic flooring
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs right first time wherever possible
• Undertaking responsive repairs, void works and remedial maintenance

About You

We're looking for an experienced Multi-Trade Operative with a strong background in property maintenance.

Qualifications and Experience

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience carrying out multi-trade repairs within domestic or social housing environments
• Experience working on responsive repairs, voids or occupied properties
• Strong practical skills across multiple trades
• The ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Experience using handheld devices or job management systems
• Good understanding of health & safety, manual handling and asbestos awareness
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• A full UK driving licence
• A relevant trade qualification or equivalent practical experience
