Job summary

Winner Recruitment is seeking an experienced Multi-Trade Operative to join our client’s property maintenance team across London and the South East. Carry out multi-trade repairs in occupied and void properties, ensuring safety and a high standard of workmanship.

Responsibilities include diagnosing faults, completing repairs right first time, and coordinating with residents while using handheld devices for job details. The role offers a permanent contract with a company van and fuel card.

Qualifications

• Proven experience carrying out multi-trade repairs within domestic or social housing environments.
• Experience working on responsive repairs, voids or occupied properties.
• Strong practical skills across multiple trades.
• The ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Experience using handheld devices or job management systems.
• Good understanding of health & safety, manual handling and asbestos awareness.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out multi-trade repairs including carpentry, plumbing, patch plastering, tiling, decorating and basic flooring
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs right first time wherever possible
• Undertaking responsive repairs, void works and remedial maintenance
• Working safely in line with risk assessments, method statements and company procedures
• Recording job details, materials and completion notes using handheld devices/job management systems
• Liaising professionally with residents and reporting any access issues, safeguarding concerns or additional works
• Maintaining tools, equipment and van stock
• Identifying and escalating complex or specialist repairs where required
• Working alongside other trades to support the successful delivery of contracts
• Adapting quickly to different properties, clients, systems and working environments

Multi-Trade Operative

Location: London & South East
Salary: Up to £43,000 DOE + Company Van & Fuel Card

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading property maintenance and social housing provider for an experienced Multi-Trade Operative to join an operational team overseeing some of the organisation's most critical contracts across London and the South East.

The team is responsible for supporting high-priority contracts, peak demand, new contract mobilisations and complex operational challenges. This is a varied role where you will work across different properties and contracts, adapting to different environments while delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance for residents.

The Role

You will carry out a range of multi-trade repairs and maintenance works across occupied and void properties, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

About You
