We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established contractor within the social housing sector, for an experienced Multi Trader to join their repairs and maintenance team.
The role will involve working across tenanted properties throughout the Midlands, carrying out a variety of responsive repairs and maintenance works. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for someone looking for long-term stability and the opportunity to secure a permanent position.

As a Multi Trader, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of repairs and maintenance works across tenanted properties.
Duties will include:
Carrying out responsive repairs and general maintenance
Completing a variety of multi-trade tasks, including:
Carpentry
Basic plumbing
Patch plastering
Tiling repairs
Painting and decorating
Lock changes and repairs
General property maintenance
Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently
Ensuring works are completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales
Working respectfully within tenants' homes
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Completing job sheets and updating works via PDA/tablet systems
Following all relevant health and safety procedures
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience working as a Multi Trader
Experience within social housing, property maintenance or repairs
A broad range of practical trade skills
Experience working within occupied/tenanted properties
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
Strong communication and customer service skills
A full UK driving licence
Own tools, unless otherwise provided
Relevant NVQ or City & Guilds qualifications and experience working for a social housing or local authority contractor would be advantageous.
