The role involves delivering high-quality repairs across social housing properties and requires strong carpentry, plumbing and decorating skills, plus the ability to work independently and communicate professionally with tenants and staff.

The position is full-time on-site with a pay rate of £22.51 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Execute responsive repairs and planned maintenance efficiently.
• Complete multi-trade repairs within occupied and void properties.
• Carry out basic carpentry, plumbing, plastering, painting and making-good works.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs to a high standard.
• Communicate professionally with tenants, supervisors and colleagues.
• Ensure all work aligns with health and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate job records and a clean, safe working environment.

About the Multi Trade Operative Role

As a Multi Trade Operative , you will play a crucial part in maintaining and repairing social housing properties across South London. Your expertise will ensure residents' homes are safe, functional, and maintained to a high standard. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, and offers a competitive pay rate of £22.51 per hour . The contract duration is initially for 2 weeks, with potential for ongoing opportunities.

Responsibilities of the Multi Trade Operative

• Executing responsive repairs and planned maintenance works efficiently

• Carrying out basic carpentry, plumbing, patch plastering, painting, and making-good works
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs to a high standard

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in social housing, repairs, or maintenance as a Multi Trade Operative
• Strong skills across multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, and decorating
• The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A full UK driving license (preferred)
