Job summary

Fortus Recruitment Group is recruiting an experienced Multi Trade Operative to cover social housing properties across East London.

The role is a full-time position offering a company van and fuel card, with competitive CIS rates of £21-£22 per hour. You will perform carpentry, plumbing, tiling and decorating within social housing, carrying out responsive repairs and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in social housing or property maintenance.
• Strong practical skills across multiple trades.

• Ability to work independently and manage a daily schedule.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out responsive repairs within social housing properties.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join a well-established social housing contractor, working across properties throughout East London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for consistent work, competitive rates and the use of a company van and fuel card.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance within social housing properties
• Completing a range of multi-trade works to a high standard
• General carpentry and joinery repairs
• Basic plumbing repairs
• Tiling, patching and making good

• Repairing doors, locks, fixtures and fittings

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Multi Trade Operative, ideally within social housing or property maintenance
• Strong practical skills across multiple trades
• Good knowledge of responsive repairs and maintenance
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily schedule
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Own basic hand tools
• Relevant trade qualifications are desirable but not essential
