Job Title: Multi‑Skilled Stores Person

Location: Birkenhead

Hours: Mon–Thu 08:00–16:30, Fri 08:00–14:00

Contract: Long‑term role for the right person

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and reliable Multi‑Skilled Stores Person to join their team. This is a long‑term opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands‑on environment and enjoys variety in their daily work.

The role involves managing incoming and outgoing equipment, ensuring all items are stored correctly, maintained, and tested before redistribution. You’ll play a key part in keeping operations running smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Checking, inspecting, and processing equipment when it is returned to store
  • Conducting basic maintenance and safety checks
  • Performing PAT testing on a range of equipment (experience preferred)
  • Supporting mechanical and electrical tasks as required
  • Managing stock levels, organisation, and stores housekeeping
  • Preparing and issuing equipment for jobs and projects
  • Updating records and reporting faults or issues promptly
Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience in a stores, workshop, or equipment hire/returns environment
  • Some knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
  • PAT testing experience
  • Strong attention to detail and a safety‑first approach
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Practical, hands‑on attitude — time‑served qualifications not required
