Overview

This role is a shift-based position which will require the candidate to work on a 4 shifts on, 4 off rotation. These shifts will be nights. You will be the point of contact for Out of office. 4 to 6 weeks of training during this time you will be on days and will get to know the site/client. Job Overview

Responsible to a Shift Leader for undertaking mechanical works on a wide range of building services reactive and planned maintenance throughout the London contracts. The work is undertaken on a shift basis to ensure 24hr cover for the London contracts. All shift teams to be complementary with mechanical support across the sites. High standard of planned preventative and reactive maintenance. Able to use diagnostic equipment and work from technical manuals and drawings. Able to identify visual plant defects, warning lights and indicators. Comprehensive understanding of building services and proficient in maintenance of: Power, distribution and switching, Motors controls, Lighting systems, Stand by generators, Electrical test procedures and certification, Controls systems, Inverter operation and design, Fire alarm/PA systems.

• Experience of working within commercial properties and installations.
• Good understanding of current Health & Safety legislation and its application within role.
• Ability to effectively prioritise own workload.
• Flexibility and adaptability to change / Flexible approach to work and working hours (subject to the EU Working Time Directive).

• Self-motivated.
• Good knowledge of building Statutory Compliance.
• Must hold a full UK driver's license.
• Ability to record work accurately on work sheets and computer based systems.

• Responsible for self and others to maintain a safe working environment as per the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and subsequent UK and EU amendments.

• Provide excellent customer service to building occupants, ensuring they are made aware of work order progress in a timely manner.
• Able to do the job right and do it right first time, within a pre-determined timescale

Electrical

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Apprenticeship - Essential.
• 18th Edition - Essential.
• 2391-52 Testing and Inspection Qualification - Essential.

Plumbing/Mechanical

• NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing - Essential.
