Job summary

A leading UK manufacturer is seeking a Maintenance Engineer (Days) in South Ockendon to install, diagnose, and repair hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical repairs and maintenance within a production environment and be familiar with welding techniques. The role offers a base salary of up to £52,000, plus overtime, along with a pension scheme and 25 days of paid annual leave.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a maintenance role within a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Skilled in mechanical repairs and maintenance, including bearings, belts, chains, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Responsibilities

  • Install, diagnose, and repair hydraulic systems.
  • Install, diagnose, and repair electrical systems.
  • Carry out welding (MIG, Arc), cutting, and fabrication tasks.
  • Perform fault finding and rectification.
  • Undertake both reactive and preventative maintenance.
  • Conduct periodic servicing and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks and equipment condition.

Job Description
  • Install, diagnose, and repair hydraulic systems
  • Install, diagnose, and repair electrical systems
  • Install, diagnose, and repair pneumatic systems
  • Carry out welding (MIG, Arc), cutting, and fabrication tasks
  • Perform fault finding and rectification
  • Undertake both reactive and preventative maintenance
  • Conduct periodic servicing and maintenance
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks and equipment condition, including part identification and procurement
  • Willingness to work paid overtime when required

  • Previous experience in a maintenance role within a production or manufacturing environment
  • Skilled in mechanical repairs and maintenance, including:
