Job summary

Lancer Scott Ltd. is seeking a mobile Fabric Engineer to cover Bristol and North Somerset. You will perform reactive and remedial maintenance on various contracts, using your initiative to solve problems and source parts. You will maintain detailed write-ups, work to tight timescales, and ensure compliance with regulations.

You will liaise with our Helpdesk, use tablets for updates, and uphold the highest health and safety standards on every assignment. A UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• A relevant trade qualification to C&G or NVQ L2/L3.
• Experience in building maintenance, especially reactive/remedial tasks.
• Good knowledge of building systems and basic trades (carpentry, plumbing, tiling, ground works).
• IT confident; used to tablets andUpdating work orders.
• Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

Job description

This is a mobile Fabric Engineer role covering the Bristol and North Somerset area on a range of different contracts.

• Provide exceptional maintenance services to our high profile Clients and go the extra mile to deliver to the highest quality standards in all areas of your performance.
• Use your own initiative to solve complicated technical problems associated with reactive maintenance activities, including sourcing parts & materials and seeking manufacturer technical support.
• Provide detailed write-ups of works carried out to ensure our client is kept up to date at all times.
• Carry out all works within agreed timescales and to the highest standards, ensuring that you comply with current regulations and contract specifications.
• Reporting and recording procedures, including operation and maintenance logs and control measures to minimise risks.
• Utilise PDAs or electronic devices to complete works.
• Liaise closely with our Helpdesk to ensure efficient response to all works either working on your own or as part of a team.
• Observe the highest levels of health and safety at all times, including carrying out point of work risk assessments for every task to ensure the best possible working practices are adhered to.
• Deal with a variety of Clients on a daily basis. You will represent the Company and be courteous and professional in your dealings with them at all times.
• A customer-focused attitude with a practical problem solving approach.
• Excellent communication skills as the first point of contact for our key client and engineers.
• Well developed organisational skill with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast paced environment.

Essential:

• A relevant qualification in your trade to C&G or NVQ L2 or L3
• Hold a minimum of 3 years' experience in a building maintenance role, particularly in relation to reactive and remedial maintenance
• Demonstrate a general wide knowledge of building systems in relation to reactive tasks encompassing, fabric tasks including Carpentry, wet trade tasks, minor plumbing tasks, tiling and ground works.
• IT confident, used to working on a Tablet and updating work orders
• Current Full UK Driver's License

Desirable:

• FDIS or equivalent Fire door qualification
• IOSH - Working safely or CSCS Card
• Asbestos awareness training (UKATA)
