Lancer Scott in Bristol is seeking a Multi Skilled Fabric and Fire Door Technician for a full-time role covering the Basingstoke area with Premier Inn, ensuring fire door maintenance meets building regs and client expectations.

You will inspect and maintain fire doors, install plasterboard and boxing, prepare quotes, and keep precise records. Strong communication with clients and internal teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining fire doors in hospitality or similar sectors.
• Knowledge of building regulations and current fire door standards.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance of fire doors for a large hospitality client to meet SLAs.
• Install and finish plasterboard, skirting and boxing in various spaces.
• Assess each job and produce a quote detailing hours and materials.
• Liaise with clients and explain technical specifications of products.
• Certify work meets required standards and provide records.
• Update job log and upload relevant documentation.
• Ensure materials are requested and delivered to the correct address.
• Purchase additional materials and equipment as needed.
• Liaise with the client on any queries and discuss issues.
• Support the Account Manager and Billing Team with query management.

Working with the Premier Inn to provide a comprehensive Fire Door maintenance service across the Basingstoke area, ensuring all legislation requirements are met and the quality of work is to the client’s satisfaction.

• Carry out maintenance of Fire Doors for a large hospitality client ensuring all works meet building regs and current legislation and are completed within the required SLA’s.
• Instal and make good plasterboard, skirting and boxing in on a range of different spaces.
• Assess each job and produce a quote detailing hours required and materials
• Liaise with the client on any queries and be comfortable explaining technical specifications of the products
• Certify each job meets required standards and provide paperwork for the clients records
• Update the job log with notes and upload relevant documentation
• Ensure all required materials are requested and cross check with the helpdesk to make sure they are delivered to the correct address.
• Purchase additional materials and equipment if necessary.
• Liaise with the client on any queries and be comfortable explaining any issues/challenges on a job.
• Support the Account Manager and Billing Team with query management to aid the invoicing process.
• Well developed communication skills and able to work successfully with both internal and external stakeholders
• Able to produce clear and professional notes and emails.
• Comfortable working with multiple systems and maintaining accurate records
• A problem solving mindset, with a practical application
