Job summary

Lancer Scott Holdings Ltd, based in Bristol, is seeking a maintenance technician with reactive and remedial maintenance experience. You will support high-profile clients, perform building maintenance across multiple trades, and document works with tablets.

A full UK driving license is essential, and you will join a team committed to safety and quality. Essential qualifications include a trade qualification to C&G or NVQ L2/L3 and at least 3 years in building maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional maintenance services to high-profile Clients and ensure quality standards.
  • Use own initiative to solve complex technical problems in reactive maintenance and sourcing parts.
  • Provide detailed write-ups of works to keep client up to date.
  • Complete all tasks within agreed timescales and in line with regulations and contracts.
  • Maintain recordings and logs of works and control measures to minimise risks.
  • Utilise PDAs or tablets to document tasks.
  • Liaise with Helpdesk for efficient response, independently or in a team.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies and conduct risk assessments for tasks.
  • Represent the Company professionally in dealings with clients and engineers.
  • Provide call-out response across all contracts.

What will be my core responsibilities?
  • Provide exceptional maintenance services to our high profile Clients and go the extra mile to deliver to the highest quality standards in all areas of your performance.
  • Use your own initiative to solve complicated technical problems associated with reactive maintenance activities, including sourcing parts & materials and seeking manufacturer technical support.
  • Provide detailed write-ups of works carried out to ensure our client is kept up to date at all times.
  • Carry out all works within agreed timescales and to the highest standards, ensuring that you comply with current regulations and contract specifications.
  • Reporting and recording procedures, including operation and maintenance logs and control measures to minimise risks.
  • Utilise PDAs or electronic devices to complete works.
  • Liaise closely with our Helpdesk to ensure efficient response to all works either working on your own or as part of a team.
  • Observe the highest levels of health and safety at all times, including carrying out point of work risk assessments for every task to ensure the best possible working practices are adhered to.
  • Deal with a variety of Clients on a daily basis. You will represent the Company and be courteous and professional in your dealings with them at all times.
  • Provide a call out response across all contracts.

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?

Essential
  • A relevant qualification in your trade to C&G or NVQ L2 or L3.
  • Hold a minimum of 3 years' experience in a building maintenance role, particularly in relation to reactive and remedial maintenance.
  • Demonstrate a general wide knowledge of building systems in relation to reactive tasks encompassing, fabric tasks including Carpentry, wet trade tasks and plumbing.
  • Confident user of different systems and tablets for recording completed works data.
  • Current Full UK Driver's License.
Desirable
  • Asbestos awareness training (UKATA).
  • CSR/CSCS H&S qualification.
