Job summary

First Fence UK is seeking a proactive Recruitment Advisor to manage end-to-end recruitment across all business areas, including site-based, sales, technical, and management roles. Regular site visits and strong relationships with hiring managers are essential to match the right people with opportunities.

You will develop candidate pipelines, write compelling adverts, and ensure a positive candidate experience while coordinating pre-employment checks and recruitment events as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in recruitment, either in-house or within an agency, covering a broad range of job types.
• Confident recruiting for both operational and office-based positions at different levels of seniority.
• Willingness to learn how each part of the business works and ask questions to understand unfamiliar roles.
• Strong interviewing, candidate assessment and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive sourcing of candidates rather than relying solely on applications.
• Excellent organisation and ability to manage several vacancies and competing priorities.
• Clear communication and the confidence to advise and challenge hiring managers.
• Sound judgement, discretion and commitment to fair, inclusive recruitment.
• Willingness to travel regularly between First Fence UK sites.
• Experience recruiting within manufacturing, construction supplies, distribution, logistics or similar multi-site operations would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage recruitment from start to finish, including vacancy briefs, offers and onboarding handover.
• Define role requirements, salary expectations and recruitment timescales with managers.
• Write engaging job adverts and accurate job descriptions.
• Screen applications, conduct telephone interviews and coordinate or attend interviews.
• Keep candidates informed and provide a professional, positive experience.
• Visit First Fence UK sites regularly to understand local recruitment needs and challenges.
• Build strong relationships with site leaders, managers and employees.
• Understand shifts, locations and practical demands of vacancies.
• Attend job fairs and manage external recruitment agencies when needed.
