Job Description: Bank MRI Radiographer – Glasgow Hospital | Radiology | Bank Contract | Ad hoc | Up to £25 per hour, depending on experience

Main duties of the job
  • See each patient as an individual, offering understanding and empathy.
  • Work without supervision when required, performing high‑quality diagnostic examinations in a diverse range of MRI procedures whilst observing the current MRI Local Rules.
  • Assist the MRI Lead Radiographer with the day‑to‑day operational management of the MRI Department, being responsible for the smooth running of the scanning list.
  • Participate in developing the service and training new radiographers.
  • Ensure a service of the highest quality is delivered with sensitivity and compassion.

Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital is located in the heart of the West End of Glasgow and is one of Scotland’s leading private hospitals. This year we embarked on phase three of a multi‑million‑pound refurbishment, adding state‑of‑the‑art equipment such as a Mako robotic arm for orthopaedic surgery and a new ambulatory theatre. We have a special focus in orthopaedics, spinal surgery, ophthalmology, weight‑loss surgery and cosmetic treatment.

Qualifications
  • BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent).
  • Post‑graduate qualification desirable.
  • SOR IV cannulation certificate.
  • MRI experience.
  • Ability to work accurately and compassionately.
Experience
  • Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently, providing high‑quality, patient‑centred imaging services.
  • Reasonably good availability throughout the week and flexibility with hours offered.
  • Not a training opportunity – only candidates with the required experience will be shortlisted.
