Job summary

MPL Claims Management is seeking an AD Claims Handler in Colchester to manage motor claims from first notification through to settlement. You will validate claims, conduct investigations where required, and support policyholders with an outstanding customer experience.

This office-based role requires handling a high volume of calls, reviewing documentation, and maintaining accurate case notes in our claims system while upholding company service standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in motor claims handling, insurance, or vehicle repair coordination.
• Experience with dealing with high volume calls.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive and detail-oriented.
• Competence in MS Office and claims systems.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Validate new claims by reviewing policy information, accident circumstances, and supporting documentation.
• Conduct claim investigations and liaise with relevant parties to establish liability.
• Manage a caseload of motor claims from initial notification to resolution.
• Communicate with policyholders, third parties, insurers, brokers, and other stakeholders.
• Handle outbound and inbound calls to discuss claim circumstances and progress.
• Review documentation and maintain accurate claim records.
• Authorise and process claim payments in line with procedures.
• Maintain accurate claim notes and records in the system.
• Manage inbox enquiries and correspondence with policyholders and clients.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to meet service standards.
• Deliver high level of customer service and keep customers informed.
