Job summary

MPL Claims Management, Colchester, is seeking a Claims Handler in the DMU team. The role focuses on organizing vehicle repairs and hire vehicles for policyholders and third parties following road traffic incidents.

We are looking for individuals with motor claims or vehicle repair coordination experience, strong communication, and excellent organisational skills. This is a full-time, office-based position in Colchester, CO1 1TG.

Qualifications

• Experience in motor claims handling, insurance, or vehicle repair coordination is desirable.
• Experience handling high-volume calls is essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vehicle repairs and hire vehicles for policyholders and third parties.
• Manage a caseload of claims and update customers at each step of the journey.
• Control costs and set expectations around hire, repair timescales and total loss claims.
• Organise invoices from repair and hire providers and submit for payment.
• Email inbox management and respond to enquiries from cover holders, clients, and brokers.
• Work as part of a team to keep customers informed throughout the process.

Your exciting opportunity

As a Claims Handler in the DMU team you will be organised and methodical. You will be tasked with organising vehicle repairs and hire vehicles for policyholders and third parties following a road traffic accident.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with various stakeholders such as policyholders, insurance companies, brokers, vehicle repairers and vehicle suppliers to ensure the smooth and effective completion of the claimant's claim.
• Take responsibility for a caseload of claims, organising the relevant services for each claim, updating the customer every step of the journey.
• Manage costs and expectations from clients and customers around hire, repair timescales and total loss claims.
• Organise invoices received from the repair and hire providers, ensuring they are accurate and submitting for payment/approval.
• Inbox management, responding to enquiries from cover holders, clients, and brokers.
• Work as part of a team to ensure that the customer is kept informed every step of the way.
