Job summary

The Independant Garage in Preston is seeking an experienced MOT Tester to join their independent workshop, carrying out MOT tests to DVSA standards and performing basic servicing where required.

This permanent full-time role offers a stable Monday–Friday schedule, paid overtime, and opportunities for further training within a friendly, locally-owned garage.

Qualifications

• Qualified and experienced MOT tester with DVSA standards knowledge.
• Reliable, accurate and safety-conscious inspection skills.
• Willingness to undertake servicing and maintenance tasks when needed.

MOT Tester - Preston

Independant Garage

Salary: £37,500 Basic + Overtime

Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday-Friday

Location: Preston

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are currently recruiting for an experienced MOT Tester to join a well-established independent garage.

The Role

As an MOT Tester, you will be responsible for carrying out MOT tests to DVSA standards, ensuring all vehicles are inspected accurately and safely. You will also have the opportunity to carry out general servicing, maintenance and repairs where required.

Hours & Salary

£37,500 basic salary

40 hours per week

Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

30-minute lunch break

Overtime paid at £18.03 per hour

Occasional Saturday morning, usually 1 in 4, which is optional

28 days' holiday including Bank Holidays
