Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester for a role in Preston. You must hold a valid MOT Class 4 license and a full UK driving license to work independently within a major dealer group.

The position offers a salary up to £41,000 basic plus bonus and overtime, with a Monday–Friday 8:30am–5pm schedule and a 1-in-2 Saturday rota. Ref: 31379.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license.
• NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds or Mechanical Engineering level 3 (or equivalent). We will consider a level 2 if you have main dealership experience.
• Valid MOT Class 4 license.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles.
• Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair, including warranty work where applicable.
• Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties.
