Job summary

Swipe Right Recruitment presents a MOT Tester role in Nottingham for a long-established, family-owned garage. You will perform DVSA Class 4 MOT tests and support servicing and light repairs in a busy workshop.

With a salary of £32,000 - £36,000 DOE + Monthly Bonus, you’ll join a supportive team committed to high-quality work and excellent customer service. Monday to Friday 8:30am–5:30pm with alternate Saturday mornings.

Qualifications

• A current and valid DVSA MOT Tester qualification.
• Previous experience working as an MOT Tester within a busy workshop.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• A positive, reliable and professional attitude.

• The ability to work independently as well as part of a dedicated team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Class 4 MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations.
• Identify defects and advise on any remedial work required.
• Complete all MOT documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Carry out vehicle servicing and light mechanical repairs when required.
• Perform vehicle health checks and identify any additional maintenance requirements.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to the highest standards.
• Maintain a clean, organised and professional workshop environment.
• Work closely with fellow technicians to ensure excellent workshop efficiency.
• Deliver outstanding workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 DOE + Monthly Bonus

Hours:

Monday to Friday: 8:30am 5:30pm

Saturday: 8:30am 12:30pm (Alternate Saturdays)

The Role

As an MOT Tester, you'll play a key role within the workshop, carrying out MOT inspections to DVSA standards while also supporting the team with servicing, MOT repairs and light mechanical work where required.

You'll be responsible for ensuring every vehicle is inspected thoroughly and professionally, maintaining the high standards that have helped establish the business as one of the area's most trusted independent garages.
