Modern Apprentice – Early Years
Toad Hall Nursery

Are you looking to start a career in Early Years, return to work, or make a meaningful career change?

At Toad Hall Nursery, we welcome applicants from 17 years old, who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.

We are recruiting enthusiastic Modern Apprentices to train alongside our experienced childcare professionals while working towards a Level 3 qualification in Early Years.

No previous childcare experience is required – we value transferable skills from other roles and life experience, and full training and support will be provided.

How will I train as an apprentice?

You will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with 20% of your time dedicated to off‑the‑job learning.

This includes supported study time to complete tasks set by your Assessor, with guidance from both your training provider and our experienced nursery team.

If you haven’t studied for a while, don’t worry – we’ll support you every step of the way.

What does the future look like after my apprenticeship?

Once qualified, you’ll have the opportunity to apply for Nursery Nurse roles advertised internally, with the potential to build a long‑term career within our growing Nursery Group.

Many of our apprentices continue to progress and develop their careers in Early Years with us.

Is there anything else I should know?

Before confirming a start date, we will complete pre‑employment checks, including:

  • Two satisfactory references
  • An Enhanced DBS check
