About the role

This role sits within our Wastewater Modelling function and plays a crucial part in ensuring the quality, compliance and technical excellence of our hydraulic modelling activities across AMP7 and AMP8. You will oversee technical governance, quality assurance and adherence to Southern Water standards, helping to develop modelling capabilities, support project delivery, and maintain strong alignment with regulatory expectations. You will also contribute to the strategic growth of the modelling team, providing leadership, mentoring and long-term technical direction.

What you will be responsible for
  • Providing technical quality assurance across wastewater model calibration, root cause analysis and solution development
  • Reviewing modelling outputs and ensuring deliverables meet Southern Water standards and regulatory requirements
  • Managing the model audit process at the completion of hydraulic modelling projects
  • Reviewing design thresholds and benchmarking against industry best practice
  • Identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements, standardisation and best practice adoption
  • Supporting team development through training, guidance and long-term capability planning
