Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking a Platform Engineer to join the Batch Data Tools team within the Global Intelligence Platforms organization. You will work on Mobius, our Kubernetes-native data platform enabling scalable batch and streaming workloads across cloud environments.

Responsibilities include building reliable data processing capabilities, shaping architecture, and improving tooling and developer experience.

Formación

• Strong coding skills in Python, Java or Scala and production-grade software experience.
• Hands-on with data transformation tools like Spark and DBT.
• Comfort with Kubernetes-native platforms and cloud environments; Golang a plus.
• Familiarity with AWS data services and data quality practices.
• Proficient SQL skills and experience with large-scale datasets.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and improve batch and data processing capabilities on Mobius.
• Contribute to architecture decisions that scale with data needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to translate requirements into production solutions.
• Establish observability, monitoring, and alerting for data workloads and incidents.
• Lead code reviews and elevate engineering standards across the team.
• Coordinate with the Global Intelligence Platforms organization and external teams.
• Identify tooling and process improvements to simplify Mobius development.
• Assist in sprint planning and break down complex problems into actionable goals.
