Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR division to deliver planned, structured repairs and servicing directly to members—on their driveway or in a workplace car park. You will work from a pre-booked schedule with full tools and a RAC van, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer reassurance.

You’ll perform diagnostics, routine servicing and in-depth repairs with specialist mobile gear, supported by the RAC platform for scheduling and parts ordering.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Strong diagnostic and technical skills are required.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points is essential.
