Job summary

The RAC is expanding its Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division, delivering planned, structured repairs and servicing directly to members, from driveways to workplace car parks. You’ll work a predictable schedule with the right tools, time and support to complete quality work on mobile visits.

As a Mobile Vehicle Technician in SMR, you’ll perform routine maintenance, diagnostics and in-depth repairs, while advising members and upholding RAC standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
