Job summary

The RAC is expanding its SMR division and seeks a Mobile Vehicle Technician to perform planned servicing and diagnostics on customers’ vehicles at driveways or car parks. Work is scheduled with pre-booked jobs, not emergency responses, ensuring a stable and predictable workflow.

You’ll use advanced mobile diagnostics and tools, delivering high‑quality repairs, safety checks, and member guidance, all within a structured environment that supports growth and professional development.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Experience in diagnostic work and vehicle servicing.
• Comfort with mobile repair work and on-site servicing.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and diagnostics on-site using mobile equipment.
• Complete in-depth repairs to RAC SMR standards.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to members and document work.
