Job summary

RAC is expanding its Mobile Vehicle Technician team in SMR. This role covers planned servicing, diagnostics, and quality repairs on-site with a fully equipped RAC van and advanced diagnostics. You’ll work a 40-hour week, with some Saturdays, offering stability and structured workflows.

Excellent diagnostic skills, 2+ years in mobile vehicle maintenance, and a full UK driving licence are required. Competitive base salary with overtime and bonus potential underline strong earning opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• Or 5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic with full UK driving licence (≤6 points).

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics at customers' driveways or sites.
• Perform in-depth repairs and provide member advice based on inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks to RAC standards.
• Report results and order parts as needed.
• Deliver high-quality service with independent decision-making.
