Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR division. You will work on planned, pre-booked jobs across the Luton cluster, servicing and repairing vehicles at members' locations with a fully equipped RAC van and advanced diagnostics.

You'll follow a fixed digital schedule, ensuring high-quality workmanship and clear communication with members. The role offers options for overtime, progression, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Perform in-depth repairs that would normally be done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.

Skills

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Mainten

5+ years' experience as Vehicle Tech

Full UK driving licence

Education
