Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You’ll operate on pre-booked jobs, delivering planned servicing and repairs at customers’ homes and workplaces across the Maidstone cluster, with no emergency callouts.

Expect a fully equipped RAC van, diagnostic tools and a structured workload, 40 hours per week, with core hours 8:30 to 17:00 and a 1 in 4 Saturday rota. A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points is required.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing.
• Perform diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Complete in-depth repairs you’d normally do in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
