Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our SMR division. You will work from a fully equipped RAC van, following a pre-booked schedule to service, diagnose and repair customers’ vehicles at driveways or workplaces.

Expect a 40-hour week with core hours 8:30 to 17:00 and one in four Saturdays. Competitive base salary £40,178 with on-target earnings up to £52,000, plus overtime and bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years' experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
