Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician in the SMR division. You will perform planned mobile servicing and diagnostics with a fully equipped RAC van, focusing on pre-booked jobs rather than emergency callouts.

Working a 40-hour week with Saturday rotation, you’ll benefit from a competitive base salary (£40,178) with OTE up to £52,000, overtime options, and a structured, supportive environment designed for quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.

Education

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
