Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician in the SMR division to deliver planned, on-site maintenance and diagnostics for members. You will work on a pre-booked schedule, using a fully equipped RAC van, with support and tools provided.

Expect a structured environment with opportunities for overtime, progression, and access to RAC benefits. This is a full-time, on-site role covering the Wembley cluster and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic is also accepted.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing on vehicles.
• Carry out diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Complete in-depth repairs typically done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
