Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR Division. You’ll perform pre‑booked, on‑site servicing and repairs with a fully equipped RAC van, tackling diagnostics and safety checks in customers’ driveways and workplaces across the Cheltenham area and surrounding towns.

You’ll work a structured schedule, with 40‑hour weeks, potential overtime, and progression into EV/diagnostic skills. This role offers stability within a national organisation and a clear career path.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing of vehicles.
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In‑depth repairs typically done in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned with RAC standards.
