Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR Division in the UK. You’ll perform pre-booked, on-site servicing and diagnostics at members’ driveways or car parks, using mobile equipment to deliver quality repairs.

You’ll work a full-time 40-hour week with occasional Saturdays, supported by a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, and advanced diagnostics. Development in EV and diagnostic skills is encouraged.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
