Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician in the SMR Division in the UK. You’ll perform pre-booked servicing, diagnostics and repairs using advanced mobile equipment, supported by a fully equipped RAC van and a fuel card.

You will need an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience and 5+ years as a Technician, plus a full UK driving licence. The role offers a 40-hour week, overtime and a base salary around £40k with potential to £52k.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
