Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You’ll perform pre-booked maintenance and diagnostics on customers’ cars, with a fully equipped RAC van and digital scheduling. Work is planned, not reactive, and focused on quality repairs delivered at driveways or workplaces.

You’ll need an NVQ Level 2 or 5+ years’ experience, a full UK licence with <6 points, and a 40-hour week with some Saturdays. Competitive pay, overtime, and benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
