Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician in the SMR Division. You will service and repair vehicles on a pre‑booked schedule, using advanced mobile diagnostics and tools.

You’ll work in the Dagenham cluster coverage area, travelling to members’ driveways or workplaces to perform planned maintenance and diagnostics. Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Perform in‑depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
• Work through a scheduled list of pre‑booked jobs.
