Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR Division in the UK. You’ll carry out planned servicing, diagnostics with advanced mobile equipment, and in-depth repairs at customers’ driveways or car parks.

You’ll work a 40-hour week with a Monday–Saturday schedule (8:30–17:00), with overtime and bonus opportunities to boost earnings. A full UK driving licence is required, and you will join a supportive national organisation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.

Skills

2+ years of Light Vehicle Maintenance

5+ years experience as Vehicle Tech/Me

Full UK driving licence

Education
