Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR division. You’ll operate on pre-booked, planned jobs within a Bridgwater cluster, covering nearby towns, with a fully equipped RAC van and a clear digital schedule.

The role is a full-time 40-hour week; core hours 8:30 am–5:00 pm, with 1 in 4 Saturdays. You’ll perform routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs, advancing your skills in a supportive, structured environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
