Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR Division. You’ll service and repair vehicles on a planned schedule across Bridgwater and nearby towns, using a fully equipped RAC van and advanced diagnostics, with no on‑call emergency work.

The base salary starts at £40,170, with on‑target earnings up to £52,000, plus overtime options. You’ll work a 40‑hour week (8:30–17:00) with 1 in 4 Saturdays, and enjoy benefits such as pension, life cover, 23–25 holidays, employee discounts, and

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs and vehicle safety checks.
• Work on a planned schedule with pre-booked jobs; no emergency callouts.
