Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for our SMR Division to deliver planned maintenance and repairs directly at customers' locations. You will perform routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs using advanced mobile equipment, with a fully equipped RAC van and support from the team.

You'll work a 40-hour week (8:30–17:00) with one in four Saturdays, enjoy a base salary of £40,178 with OTE up to £52,000, and access overtime and bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
