Job summary

The RAC is expanding its Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division with a Mobile Vehicle Technician role. You’ll travel in a RAC van, carrying out planned servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on site for members, with a structured schedule and no emergency callouts.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In‑depth repairs normally done in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
