Job summary

RAC SMR division offers a structured mobile repair role, with pre-booked jobs away from roadside duties. You’ll service and perform diagnostics, pre‑booked for members at their homes or workplaces. You’ll handle routine servicing, in‑depth repairs, and safety checks with supported tools and clear schedules.

You’ll receive a base salary around £40,170 with earnings potential up to £52,000 through bonuses and overtime. 40 hours weekly, occasional Saturdays, and extensive benefits after probation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing of vehicles.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.

Skills

2+ years experience as Vehicle Tech/ME

Full UK driving licence

Education

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
